Each year, on Veteran's Day Weekend, the WWII History Center holds its annual Open House and the WWII Reenacting Corps holds their annual Public Battle reenactment in conjunction with El Dorado's Celebration of Freedom.  Come see what's new at the Museum, watch a Veteran's Day parade then see a WWII weapons demonstration and public battle reenactment!

Schedule of the Day's Events

WWII displays on the grounds of the Butler County History Center and Oil Museum.  

8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The WWII History Center opens to the public in El Dorado.

8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The Butler County History Center and Oil Museum opens their gates for the public to come in a see the WWII displays and to talk with reenactors.  Admission to the Museum is free, but a donation of $2/person is suggested and appreciated for admittance to the battle reenactment.

12:00 pm - 12:25 pm

Weapons/uniform display and demonstration at the Butler County History Center and Oil Museum in El Dorado.

12:30 pm - 1:00 pm

"Outskirts of Isigny" WWII Public Battle Reenactment, hosted by the WWII Reenacting Corps, on the grounds of the Butler County History Center and Oil Museum in El Dorado.
